A Good Week

It has been a good and busy week here. Thanksgiving and Christmas are driving the urgent work, while other projects are waking up after down times.

Harvey Sax of Alpha Wealth Funds is launching a new fund – Alpha Diversified.

StrongRoots added StrongRoots North and can now take donations in US and Canadian dollars.

Sea Turtle Ministries can successfully accept one-time and recurring donations.  GiveWP did not update correctly to the latest version.  I solved this by deleting manually the database tables and the database options related to Give.  Then Give saw this as a new install.  Then there was a caching issue and a webhooks issue and then success!

It’s In the Mix Clovis has enough apples to make 115 apple pies.  These can be delivered to a central pickup spot or to your home, if you live within the delivery zip code area.  For delivery, you may pay cash or pay in advance.  For central pickup, you must pay ahead. They are set for a good Thanksgiving and Christmas.

GoDaddy legacy web hosting was expiring for another client.  I tried to migrate to SiteGround as an economic solution, but that failed repeatedly. However, it did transfer to WP Engine in one try.

Katie’s Water Dog Spa is open in Seattle.  She went with the Divi child theme Namaste.

Equipping Minds has happily used PayPal for Roses subscriptions.  There is an acknowledged subscription problem with the PayPal plugin we were using; it did not charge recurring payments correctly.  Dr. Carol Brown was able to reset with Stripe payments for subscriptions.

Virginia Ballet is hosting The Nutcracker in person this year.

The Spirit Rock Shop is now completely live and receiving orders again after a painful transition from Yahoo Small Business.
