Kent Holland

ConstructionRisk.com: website redesigned

Kent Holland is a legal authority on construction issues.  He publishes the free monthly ConstructionRisk.com Report, detailing recent legal rulings that effect the construction industry.  He and and his team provide legal counsel through his law firm.

Kent’s biggest asset for his new website was the treasure of past ConstructionRisk.com newsletters already published.  It is unusual for a client to arrive with such wonderful content.  We took his existing WordPress site and gave it a facelift with the Area 53 responsive theme from WP Scientist.

His newer newsletters were in a custom post type that I separated from the old theme.  I also used the powerful WordPress categories to simplify the display of Kent’s video newsletters and the numerous books he has written.

His newsletter signup form was not working, and that was an easy fix with the Constant Contact subscription widget.

More next time on Kent Holland’s online course offerings.
