Lee Slaninko’s bakery is Sweet Somethings Desserts, located in Wilmington, Delaware. We heard about it from Iron Hill Brewery, who recommended Sweet Somethings for my in-law’s 50th anniversary cake.
When I called and talked to Lee he thought the Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse Cake would be a great choice. It was! Moist, delicious and elegant – perfect for an anniversary lunch.
Sweet Somethings’ cake was delicious but their website was outdated. It was missing photos of their most popular desserts. It had not been updated for users now searching on cell phones or tablets.
Lee decided to go ahead with a new responsive website. We put a “coming soon” screen up temporarily, showing the 2013 Best Bakery award Sweet Somethings had just received from the Delaware News Journal. The Deep Focus from Elegant Themes was a good choice for his photo intensive site. Lee is fortunate to have a graphics designer in his family, and high quality photos and background graphics from Lion’s Den Studio brought the site to life.
Sweet Somethings has a large following on Facebook. We included links to the Facebook page, Yelp and the RSS feed. When Sweet Somethings gathers more reviews on Google +, we will add a link there also. A new blog lets Lee communicate order deadlines and new products easily.
