I met Sylvie Casper when she made custom valances for our breakfast room. They were beautifully done!
Her website was a collection of online photo albums. It was difficult to see the full impact of her window treatments in the small pictures. Her contact info was buried within several of the albums and some potential clients were having trouble reaching her. She visited possible customers with a heavy binder of photos from previous projects.
Sylvie was open to creating a new responsive WordPress website. She picked the Origin theme from Elegant Themes. The responsiveness was important because Sylvie plans to purchase an iPad soon for customer visits. With a responsive theme, her site will size down nicely to smart phones and iPad screens.
We organized Sylvie’s contact info on her new home page and added high quality pictures to her site. We set up gallery categories such as “draperies”, “upholstery” and “valances” so customers can easily view their favorites. We sat down together for training and Sylvie easily picked up the steps to posting on her WordPress site. Her next step is to always photograph her new window treatments and always post them to her site. She is off to a great new start!
