Keep Your Domains

Your website domain is your unique identifier on the web.  This domain, or URL, is http://r3cCreations.com .  It is like a social security number in some ways.  You can change the whole look of your website, you can move from one hosting company to another; you can transfer it from one registrar to another; but whatever you do, it uniquely identifies you.

As a website owner, you need to protect your domain ownership.  You should make sure the phone number and email address that you use to register your domain are with you years into the future.  This gets more complicated for non-profits. Board members and other volunteers can move on.  Paid staff can also.  Please protect your organization by using a long term general email address on your domain registration. Your future self will thank you.
