The website for a Centreville Virginia church had not been updated in several years.  Prospective church members usually visit multiple church websites before choosing one to visit.  Every visitor to the church either comes with a friend, or has visited the website.

The church website committee chose the theme Native Church by imithemes.  The theme was responsive, well rated and recently updated.  It offered helpful church related custom post types, such as sermons, staff and events.

We installed the theme on a test website and tested different aspects.  The sermon posts are very easy to configure and show up nicely on the home page.  The staff posts also work well; we used these for both staff and church leadership pages.  Centreville Presbyterian Church shares its building with a school and several community groups.  The built in events calendar was not sufficient for the church needs.

The top slider uses Revolution Slider, which does a good job loading large images after the home page content has appeared.
